Tallinn Christmas Markets 2026

Tallinn's main Christmas market stands on Town Hall Square in the Old Town in front of the medieval town hall, with a big Christmas tree and wooden chalets. The 2026 edition runs from 20 November 2026 to 6 January 2027 with free entry. Smaller design and craft markets (Telliskivi, EKA, Kadriorg, Põhjala factory, Nõmme) add options on single days and weekends.

    Visitors (4.5/5, nearly 800 reviews) praise the Old Town backdrop, the beautiful tree and the evening light; you can eat Estonian sausages with sauerkraut and potatoes, and drink mulled wine. The main complaint is prices, which rise every year, and the evening crowds - around 6 pm it is hard to move with a pushchair. On Reddit, Finns advise that Tallinn is worth visiting for the city itself, as the market is similar to Helsinki's.

    One of the best-known Christmas markets in Northern Europe - come on a weekday afternoon, when there are fewer people.
