Bucharest's main Christmas market is in Piața Constituției in front of the Palace of the Parliament, with over 120 chalets, a tall tree and a Ferris wheel (2025: 29 November - 28 December). In 2025 many found it the most successful so far: spacious, with craftspeople, concerts (Iris, Loredana), a wheel and the Palace of the Parliament as a backdrop. The criticisms: high prices (two portions of potatoes almost 120 lei), weak mulled wine and kürtős, loud music from several sources, queues for the wheel on Saturday evenings, unmarked fences and entrances, impossible parking (fines) and pickpockets.
Bucharest's Christmas evening stroll, for the atmosphere and not for shopping.

Getting there and parking
- Metro Izvor, then 10 minutes on foot.
- Parking is very difficult, so come by metro.
Worth knowing
- 2025 hours: Mon-Fri 12:00-22:00, Sat-Sun 10:00-22:00; open on Christmas Day too.
- The entrance may be far away, so check the map.
- Weekend afternoon is quieter than the evening.
- Come by metro: the car parks around are fenced off and the Local Police hands out fines.

Winter Wonderland Piața Alba Iulia
The Sector 3 market, moved in 2025 from Hala Laminor to Piața Alba Iulia: over 50 themed chalets, an ice rink of over 700 m², a mini park for children and a multimedia drone show on New Year's Eve.

Mixed opinions (3.6): some praise the atmosphere, the concerts, the ice rink and decent street food prices, even after New Year; others find it small and ordinary, crowded at the weekend, with mud and big delays to the announced programme.
The longest market in Bucharest (until 7 January). Good after Christmas, when the others have closed.

A smaller market in Piața Universității, in the heart of Bucharest. For some it is more sparkling than the one in Piața Constituției.

The third market of the Capital's City Hall (CREART), on the esplanade of the National Opera: refined decor, crafts, hot drinks and music shows.

For many Bucharest residents it is the most beautiful market in the city: well thought out, colourful, with music and good food. Prices are high (a hot chocolate ~17 lei), the park paths can be muddy and pushchair access to the rink was a problem.
The most successful market in Bucharest. Come by public transport.

A market in northern Bucharest; visitors found many chalets closed, so check the schedule.

The reviews are poor: during the week visitors found only 4-5 chalets open and high prices, and on 1 January, although announced as open, there was no food stall at all, only loud music and a few attractions.
Worth it only for the covered ice rink in bad weather, not for the market.

For years parents called it the most beautiful market for children in Bucharest: activities for all ages, carol singers, tasteful decor, a good ice rink. In 2025 criticism appeared: an unkempt yard, access to the wreath workshop via old, dirty stairs, and high prices for what it offers.
Good for small children, but go with moderate expectations compared with earlier editions.
