Montreal Christmas Markets 2026
Montreal's biggest Christmas market is the Grand Marché de Noël on Place des Festivals, with about forty Quebec artisans' chalets and free entry. The 2026 edition runs from 13 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, the only large market open after 24 December. The Christmas Village at Atwater Market (26 November - 24 December 2026) is the family-oriented little brother.

Visitors like the atmosphere, the decorations and going as a family and then as a couple. Complaints come up often: few artisans in some categories (lots of jewellery and candles), expensive street food with small portions, disappointing mulled wine - several advise hot cider instead.
Worth the outing for the atmosphere in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles, especially in the evening and over the holidays - eat before or after in the neighbourhood and have the hot cider.
