Stuttgart Christmas Market 2026

The Stuttgart Christmas market is one of Europe's largest, with over 280 chalets whose decorated roofs are famous. The 2026 edition runs from 25 November to 23 December with free entry, and the Finn Village on Karlsplatz (25 November - 22 December 2026) adds a Nordic touch. It gets very full from about 6 pm; early afternoon on a weekday is best.

    Praised are the huge, varied offer from crafts to modern gifts, the famous roof decorations of the chalets and the crockery deposit system instead of disposables. Many find prices high (sausage and chips from EUR 5). From about 6 pm it gets very full; the lanes towards the Town Hall are calmer than Königstraße.

    A must for its size and the chalet roofs - best in the early afternoon on a weekday, and take children to the fairyland.

    Getting there and parking

    • The main station is a few minutes' walk away - arrive by train or S-Bahn.
    • Disabled parking directly at the market; the market is step-free from almost all sides.

    Worth knowing

    • Sunday to Thursday 11:00-21:00, Friday and Saturday until 22:00.
    • Away from Königstraße, around the Town Hall, it is more relaxed.
