  Most visitors praise the atmosphere, decorations and lighting, the large choice of food and punch, and the cleanliness and waste separation; prices are clearly displayed and you can pay by card at the stalls. Complaints: high prices, few craft products (only a few stalls in 2025), food sometimes greasy and overpriced, a carousel at EUR 4 for 2.5 minutes cash only, and a big crush in the evening. Monday tends to be calmer.

  The capital's main market - go for the atmosphere and food, not for gifts; best on a weekday.

  • Combine it with the Christmas tram and the Old Town market on Hviezdoslav Square.
