Ottawa Christmas Market
A European-style market at Lansdowne in the Glebe: wooden cabins, mulled wine and pierogi, open Friday to Sunday.
🧒 With kids✨ Date night🎉 With friendsWhat's there
- Wooden chalets and a big Christmas tree in Aberdeen Square
- 60-plus vendors and makers
- BeaverTails, poutine, hot chocolate and local cider and spirits
- Santa meet-and-greets and live music
- Skating rink and Friday holiday movie nights next door
What visitors say
People like the lights, fire pits, live music and the mix of artisans, and many make it a yearly tradition. The complaints: evenings get so crowded that groups lose each other, some find the décor the same every year, and parking at Lansdowne is a headache. Daytime visits are calmer.
Ottawa's one proper outdoor Christmas market — free and worth an evening, ideally combined with skating or the farmers' market. Go in the daytime or early on a Friday; weekend nights are packed.
