Cork Christmas Market 2026: dates, where it is and what's on
When is the Cork Christmas market 2026? Cork City Council's festive market is in the city centre (Bishop Lucey Park, Grand Parade and Emmet Place) and entry is free. The council has confirmed the 32 m Ferris wheel and vintage carousel for 27 November to 31 December 2026; opening dates and hours for the market stalls themselves are not yet published, and we'll add them when they are. Be realistic: visitors rated the 2025 market poorly (only a handful of stalls), so treat it as a night out under the lights rather than a destination market. Winterlee, the funfair and rink at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, has no 2026 dates.

Google reviews of the 2025 market were very poor: visitors, some from abroad, found only 5–9 stalls and high prices.
Come for the Ferris wheel and the city lights — don't travel to Cork for the market itself.

Families who came for the funfair, food and drinks enjoyed it; visitors expecting a Christmas market were disappointed — on some days almost no craft stalls were open, and the rink gets overcrowded.
A winter funfair rather than a market — fine with kids, not for gift shopping.
