A free video from Santa, made for your child
Santa says your child's name, finds their photo on his desk, writes them into the Nice List and talks about their Christmas wish — about a minute of North Pole magic. Watch it here or download it to share.

Questions
- Is the video from Santa really free?
- Yes. No account, no email, no watermark and no paid upgrade. Type your child's first name, add a photo if you like, and press Watch or Download.
- Will Santa say my child's name?
- For about 300 of the most popular first names in the US, Santa says the name out loud. For every other name, the name appears on screen — in the Nice List book, on the title and in the goodbye — and Santa calls your child "my friend". We add more names every season.
- Is my child's photo uploaded anywhere?
- No. The whole video is made inside your browser. The photo, name and everything you type never leave your device, and nothing is stored after you close the tab.
- How do I save or share the video?
- Press Make & download. The video records in real time — about a minute — and then saves as a video file you can send by text or email, or play on the TV. On most phones and in Safari it saves as MP4; some browsers save WebM.
- Is it a real person?
- No — Santa's voice is computer-generated and the scenes are illustrations. If you'd like a live video call or a filmed, fully custom video, see our comparison of personalised Santa video services.
